First up, a hefty financial crime has been wrapped up with an Evansville woman’s sentencing for stealing over $1.8 million from her employer. On top of that, she’s been nailed for filing false tax returns. Just goes to show, crime might pay temporarily, but it sure does come back to bite.<\/p>\n
Tragedy down in Lafayette, Indiana. Seyene C. Vargas has been charged with two counts of murder, and to make matters worse, there’s a firearm enhancement on those charges. Looks like the whole community is shaken, and it’s a reminder that vigilance is key.<\/p>\n
Lastly, over in Tippecanoe County, they’ve picked up Douglas Michael Diekmann, who’s been on the radar for child molestation charges. The arrest warrant came out of Vanderburgh County. This apprehension is a big win in keeping the streets safer, especially for the little ones. <\/p>\n
