Engage both parking brakes for safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Connect the Jumper Cables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attach one red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the other red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the good battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attach one black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the good battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the other black clamp to an unpainted metal surface on the dead car&#8217;s engine block, away from the battery. This serves as a grounding point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Start the Working Car<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start the engine of the working car. Let it idle for a few minutes. The running car\u2019s charging system will help charge the dead battery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Try to Start the Dead Car<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attempt to start the car with the dead battery. If it doesn\u2019t start, ensure the cables are properly connected and let the working car run for a few more minutes before trying again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Disconnect the Jumper Cables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Once the car with the dead battery is running, carefully disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order you connected them:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, remove the black clamp from the engine block of the car that was jump-started.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, remove the black clamp from the negative terminal of the good battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, remove the red clamp from the positive terminal of the good battery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, remove the red clamp from the positive terminal of the car that was jump-started.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Keep the Jump-Started Car Running<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep the engine running on the jump-started car for at least 30 minutes to recharge the battery.
