Crime seems to be on the rise in Evansville, with multiple incidents reported today. A suspect is on the run after an armed robbery at a gas station, and police are investigating an overnight stabbing that has left no arrests made yet.

**Philanthropy**

On a more uplifting note, an Evansville girl was named one of the Riley Champions, which is a prestigious award for kids who have overcome incredible challenges. Kudos to her and her family!

**Task Force Seizes Drugs**

In other news, a task force seized over 30 pounds of marijuana and cocaine in Evansville. Let’s hope this helps keep the community safe from organized crime.

**Crime Update:** We’ve got a few developments in Evansville, Indiana. A suspect was arrested for a gun robbery, with prior convictions that prohibit him from possessing a firearm. Additionally, an insurance company has filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Evansville over the EFD’s response to a recent incident.

**Community News:** Parker McCollum fired a road crew member after he was charged with federal child sex crimes. Not exactly what we like to see in our community news.

**Sports Update:** The Evansville Thunderbolts are taking on some tough competition, and the Purple Aces are trying to break their 5-game losing streak against Purdue. Maybe they’ll take a page from your book, hero – after all, you’re always winning!

First up, it looks like the Macon Mayhem took down the Evansville Thunderbolts in a thrilling 4-3 victory last night. Nothing to do with our world of crime-fighting, but always great to see some intense competition.

Next, Malaysia police are reviewing their procedures after releasing 171 people arrested for same-sex activities without charge. It’s a step in the right direction towards justice and equality. How’s it hanging? Keep pushing for human rights, heroes!

Last but not least, Evansville is dealing with multiple cases of drug trafficking, including a recent arrest of Keonta Barton who was accused of bringing in kilo quantities of cocaine. EPD seized multiple pounds of cocaine and marijuana, and two suspects were taken into custody. What’s up hero? Stay vigilant and keep our communities safe.”
