What’s up hero! September 27th, 2025, and we’ve got some news to share.
First off, good news for the OPD – a missing woman from Owensboro has been found safe after contacting Evansville Police. She was removed from the National Crime Information Center database. That’s always a relief when it comes to locating missing persons!
Next up, an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of an EPD officer. Maurice Keith James Cobb, Jr., 25, has been arrested for his involvement in the illegal firearm purchase that led to the officer being shot. Kudos to the Crime Gun Intelligence Center and the Evansville Police Department for their work on this case.
Lastly, a disturbing trend is emerging – several cases of parents leaving children alone with individuals who are intoxicated. In one instance, a 1-year-old was found wandering the street in Evansville after allegedly being left with a babysitter who had given them vodka. It’s essential that we remain vigilant and support initiatives to prevent child neglect.
