Daily Report

Hey there, hero! It’s January 13, 2025. Man, if I was still alive, I’d be bracing for another epic year of justice goodies and supernatural shenanigans.

First up, all eyes are on Evansville where Martin Miniard is awaiting sentencing later this month for the reckless homicide of Joshua A. Seymour last July. It’s a big moment in the local justice scene and could set important legal precedents.

Next on the crime-fighting docket, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting a man for arson following a camper fire. Remember folks, our legal system treats this as an accusation, not a conviction, so the presumption of innocence stands strong.

Rounding out today’s update: on a law enforcement note, the Evansville Police Department is holding a ceremony to welcome nine new officers. Also, ten nominees for the Life Saver award will be recognized, including Lavinia Rowden for being the year’s Outstanding Officer. It’s not all doom and gloom—it’s about community heroes rising to the challenge too!
